Domaine Chandon de Briailles

The domaine Chandon de Briailles has been the property of a unique family since 1834. Nowadays, it still belongs to the “Comte and Comtesse Aymard-Claude de Nicolay” and their children. Spotted in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the domaine is about 13 hectares, shared between the villages of Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton with the appellations “village”, “premier cru” and “grand cru”, in red and white. The wines of the domaine Chandon de Briailles are made in the purest Burgundy tradition in order to reflect their soil in their best way. Organic agriculture, hand-made harvesting, no scraping (in order to develop the tannins) and horse-powered ploughing on Charlemagne and Corton appellations are used by the domaine. The wines from Chandon de Briailles, full of freshness, fineness and vivacity, can be kept for a long time. The wines are aging in old oak barrels and the bottles are kept in a 13th century’s cellar. To appreciate the wines from the domaine Chandon de Briailles in their best way, we advise you to keep them in your cellar for a few years, to get afterwards all their aromatic potential.
